The National Social Charity was created in 2012 and began as an initiative of a group of citizens of the Russian Federation. According to the Government decree of the Russian Federation the charity is a non-profit organization which provides single and constant material aid to physical persons on a humanitarian and charitable basis.
Our priority is: targeted charitable help for children and teenagers who have severe hearing and vision disorders. For this we has worked out and now implement the All-Russia program named “Sounds of Happiness”. Its aim is to open the world of sounds to the deaf and children with hearing disorders, help them to have a normal life. The target audience is the “Sergiyevo-Posadskiy children's home for deaf-blind children”. In our country it is the only institution where hundreds of children with hearing and vision disorders and severe congenital disorders live, get medical treatment and rehabilitation.
The charity has already collected more than 60 millions of roubles for various types of help for these children. In 2012 and 2013 our charity spent about 10 millions roubles for the annual Kremlin New Year party tickets for children from the needy families.
Our program “Sounds of Happiness” together with the folk group of hearing-impaired children’s “Angels of Hope” held the All-Russia festival for children and teenagers with hearing disorders under the name of “Relay of Hope”. Its aim was to contribute to the efforts of our state and society to create a friendly space, social and creative environment for disabled children. The initiative to hold the festival was approved and supported by the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, both chambers of the Parliament and Moscow Duma, Moscow Government. The honorary chairman of the festival is Vice-president of the State Duma S.V. Zheleznyak.
One of our main culture projects is to record and put out in mass editions the memorial semiorchestral composition “Military Requiem”, dedicated to the memory of all who defended our Motherland and won the Great Victory. On the 2nd of December this year (the International day of the disabled) we hold a large charitable concert “When friends are around” for children from the Sergiyevo-Posadskiy children's home for deaf-blind children. The children will see performances of our old partner – the folk group “Angels of Hope” and many well-known pop-singers. We plan to take an active part in the charitable Christmas gala-concert of the Patriarchal Chorus in the Temple of the Christ the Savior Cathedral on the 14th of January 2015. Also we plane to organize regional concerts and contests for children and youth during the "Chants of Christianity” Patriarchal festival.
