Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, non-profit medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflicts, epidemics, forced migration, natural disasters in more than 70 country all over the world.
MSF was founded by a group of French doctors and journalists in order to provide medical care in 1971. MSF offers assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. Also MSF reports in public about hard life of people whom it helps. We offer basic healthcare, rehabilitate and run hospitals and clinics, perform surgery, fight epidemics, carry out vaccination campaigns, operate nutrition centres for children, provide mental healthcare. When needed, we construct wells, supply safe drinking water, and distribute shelter materials and other relief items such as cooking and washing kits. Our emergency teams are trained and equipped with everything they need to bring rapid assistance to people in crisis.
We also provide medical care and psychological support to people living in chronic emergency situations, such as people displaced by conflict or disaster, medical and psychological help for marginal groups such as refugees and homeless children, treatment of patients with tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS and kala azar.
